Impenitent atheist that I am, I spend a lot of time composing for liturgical hebraic texts, \u2028singing these compositions not in synagogues, but in churches,\u2028eavesdropping on obscure Hassidic rituals, \u2028and singing Ave Maria for Christmas mass.\u2028\u2028<\/p>\r\n

In QUOI, I sing in Hebrew, \u2028with excursions in Arabic, Latin and English. \u2028I recount my iconoclastic adventures with the sacred.\u2028\u2028The poet Allen Ginsberg holds the place of honor:\u2028<\/p>\r\n

The world is Holy! The soul is Holy!\u2028
The skin is Holy! The nose is Holy!\u2028
The tongue and cock and hand and asshole! \u2028<\/p>\r\n
