SHIR

Bold atheist that I am, I devote an immoderate amount of time
to setting Hebrew liturgical texts to music,
to singing them in churches,
to spying on the music-loving ecstasies of Hassidim,
to sing Ave Maria for Christmas mass on the island of Stromboli...

In this concert, I sing in Hebrew, with some antics in Arabic,
Latin and English.
I recount my adventures with the sacred.
